Heralding the opening of the festival with a flourish, Gabricha Paus (The Damned Rain) drove into every viewer's heart, the painful situation of farmer suicide in India. Driven by never-ending debts, failed monsoons and red-tape, the life of a farmer who feeds the world, is drained bloodless.

"A moving and beautifully shot movie about the sad realities of the life of a farmer and its daily struggles and uncertainties"
- Siamak

The evening saw brief appearances by sponsors of tonight's films, People for Progress in India (PPI ), Association for India's Development (AID) and City of Bellevue. The hall was filled to capacity with about 210 people trying to find a spot in the theatre.

Lost and Found - A short poetic and visually beautiful journey of a bottle as it takes us through the lives of the people it touches.
- Siamak

Malegaon ka Superman had the audience in splits!! A spoof on people's fascination with H/Bollywood, the rip-roaring comedy film had the director seeking to create a ridiculously Malegaon-ish version of Superman. The film itself was a film on the director trying to film the movie for a local community theatre.

The hilarious making of low-budget spoof of Superman in a small town. It takes superhuman effort not to laugh - Siamak

Tasveer very graciously provided Kiddie Care much to the relief of parents who wanted to catch a movie or two. See you today!!
